2007 TANITA Healthy Weight Community Trust Grants Available
TANITA Healthy Weight Community Trust is soliciting applications for grants to support scientific research and activities programs dedicated to the understanding and reduction of obesity worldwide.
The TANITA Healthy Weight Community Trust is a non-profit, public fund established in 1994 by TANITA in cooperation with the government of Japan. TANITA is a leading manufacturer of professional and home-use body fat and body composition monitors/scales. The mission of the Trust has been to support scientific study aimed at combating obesity and other weight and body composition-related problems in Japan.
From 2004, eligibility includes applicants worldwide. Grants will be awarded to multiple recipients in two main categories - Research and Activities. Research grants will be awarded to people or organisations conducting studies on the epidemiology of fatness, with the goal of combating obesity worldwide. Activities grants will be awarded to people or organizations conducting activities to educate about obesity and other body composition-related problems, and to promote their elimination.
