ATTENTION - COUNTERFEIT ALERT: Tanita Won on Civil Action Against Counterfeiters in China
Malicious imitation copies of Tanita's baby scale BD-585 were found in the U. S. A. Tanita has made investigation to seek the counterfeiter. As a result, we ascertained one assembly factory Wuxi Weigher Factory and one components factory Yuyao Jiuyuan Complete Set of Weighing Apparatus Co., Ltd.
Then, we took legal actions against the assembly factory and components factory. The Jiangsu Wuxi Intermediate People Court on April 30, 2007 made following judgment against Wuxi Weigher Factory and Yuyao Jiuyuan Complete Set of Weighing Apparatus Co., Ltd.
a. To stop the infringing production immediately;
b. To destroy the moulds for Tanita's baby scales of Yuyao Jiuyuan Complete
Set of Weighing Apparatus Co., Ltd.;
c. To compensate RMB50,000 for TANITA's economic damage.
