At Tanita Corporation we value our intellectual property very highly. The TANITA trade marks and many of our product designs are protected by registration in jurisdictions throughout the world, including the European Union
We have become aware that counterfeits of our products, originating from the company Shenzhen Amput Electronic Technology Co, Ltd (Shenzhen Amput) in China, bearing our trade marks and using our designs, are being offered for sale into various markets including the European Union (in particular, the UK)
We cannot allow our rights to be breached in this way. Action has already been taken against Shenzhen Amput in China. We shall take firm and swift action, using all available and appropriate legal means, against any other persons found to be dealing in counterfeits of our goods. This may involve both civil and criminal proceedings.
